>>43492676This. I never enjoyed Pokemon Go for it's competitive aspects (Why would I? At best it's a sidegame that allows you to farm shinies). I was really intrigued by GBL when it began because I thought they would give more Pokemon the Lickilicky or Cherrim treatment, you know Pokemon that have no reason to be used in raids or gyms like Ambipom, Archeops, Bisharp, Braviary, Cacturne, Cinccino Cofagrigus, Cryogonal, Delcatty, Dusknoir, Electivire, Hitmonlee, Lumineon, Masquerain, Porygon2/-Z, Reuniclus, normal rodents, Slowbro/king, Tauros, (bad) trio legendaries, Xatu, the list goes on for miles. Even a handful of these Pokemon getting signature moves would be nice, unfortunately the cancellation of Lugia suggests this won't happen until quarantine ends. I'd even be fine with it if it also made some Pokemon move viable in raids, with mores like Brave Bird or Zen Headbutt getting a massive buff. Honestly, Niantic is just as good at balance as modern WOTC, which really takes out all the fun in playing the game and makes me wonder why I would even take part in the game until a year from now when the meta is a lot more balanced. In a game like Pokemon, main series or not, the inferiority of so many Pokemon, especially one that may be your favorite, really kills the competitive game for so many people and I can't help but agree.
