Eh, not sure what's the big deal. The cool thing about Pokemon is how well established, and unlike our world their world is. Free healthcare, post-enlightment society where there is no war and minimum suffering, where society completely bend over and revolves around pets, where 10 year old can go on adventure to see nature, caves, mountains, and surf across ocean. Where the trees looks cartoony and nothing alike real world. Practically a utopia, egalitarian isekai.
You boot up Palworld and you see photoreal unity assets and realistic guns, there's no story, minimum characters and worldbuilding. Meh...
