>>18466723Seriously, there was nothing good about trading/battling with a cable and Game Boy (Color). The fucking cable always fell of and you basically had to keep it still with one hand to make the things work. If it moved just a bit, that bitch in the Pokemon Center wouldn't let you battle/trade. Sometimes she however let one player through but not the other. And when the cable moved a bit during a battle, the game started glitching like fuck and I remember seeing stuff like Caterpie with reversed colors and two health bars when fighting against my friend during Gen II. It sucked even back then, seriously. Wireless connection is infinitely better (and actually trading and battling with a cable already worked much better with Game Boy Advance SP, don't know about regular Advance because I never had one). Sometimes the glitches were good tho, since we accidentally discovered that when you take the cable off during a certain part of a trade, it would clone the Pokemon. Yes, this worked even back in Gen II, so we used it to clone rare Pokemon like Porygon2 and legendaries.
