>>54145430"Slow and steady wins the race," I guess? I always saw the game as a motivator to go for a walk and make numbers go up, so I've always been able to dodge raid group drama, paid event fomo, and basically any part of the game that isn't fun to me. For instance, batch evolving, to me, is incredibly tedious, so I never bothered post-level 40. I'm sure that's still the best way to grind for XP, but I'd also get burned out dumping all my gym coin into lucky eggs and spending a half hour every day sitting through the evolution animations. But that's me. Maybe you like evolving but hate pvp, for instance. Just do what's fun to you and you won't get burn out or turn bitter.
It seems that the people who complain about the game are the ones who dump the most $ into it. "I SPENT $100 ON INCUBATORS AND DIDN'T HATCH A SHINDERINO!" Sure, I'd be pissed too, at that point. But that's also like "I HIT MYSELF WITH A HAMMER AND NOW I'M HURT! WHY IS HAMMERANTIC LIKE THIS!?!" I'm not saying it's a perfect game or anything (where's the fuckin routes?!) but not putting money into the game and accepting the grind for what it is seems to lead to less burnout, and it is, by its nature, a game of endurance.
