-One that scales with held badges.
-One for post elite four re-matches.
-One that's just *their* personal every day team you can encounter outside of the gym. I think Misty in the ?Anime? commented on how the Cerulean City Gym has an aquarium and her and her sisters share a (literal) pool of water pokemon they keep and raise there. Gym leaders having a gym-team that's raised at the gym would add a more grounded reason as to why the Gyms are often weird fucking gobble-de-gook theme parks. It would also give the Gym leaders more screen time and personality. Some of these cunts you see them once and they're gone forever.
