Despite being an objectively bad Pokemon, Arbok has saved the nuzlocke mulitple times, which reminds me of how crucial Mighthyena was to my randomized Platinum win.
To bump up the difficulty a bit, I've given every boss (gym leaders, Elite 4, Diantha, Lysandre, and maybe the Admins) an extra Pokemon and given every trainer the possibility of having 1 or more Megas. For example, Sycamore had a Mega Abomasnow and a Mega Bannette, and Ramos had a Mega Latios as his extra Pokemon.
