I am very glad that pokemon doesn't care about this bullshit and just creates the characters that suits its games.
I would never complain about cards Hala, Hau, Mallow and Olivia they are all well designed art-wise and their full arts are gorgeous.
I never even once looked at a pokemon card featuring a trainer and thought that it was forced and didn't belong.
Meanwhile in magic they've been forcing women, people of color, LGBT characters, and so much more down the players' throats for so long that now you can't even discern when one of these characters is forced or if it suits the game/story.
