>>44879487I don't feel like quoting the other guys so I'll just reply to this one. The Harkness Test is what to do when there are no laws for consent in place between the species; it's sort of a "so we'd allow this alien to help out on our ship with no more supervision than most human crew members, but we wouldn't allow them to fuck me? Seems kinda weird."
>Human intelligence or greaterShields you from "you're fucking a dumb animal." If your Serperior girlfriend is teaching herself calculus, it's weird to say that she's too dumb to fuck but your neighbor who thinks 1/3 > 1/2 isn't. It also means that whatever is said for consent probably isn't just mimicking trained sounds.
>Communicates with languageEasy establishment of consent - this, of course, is also useful even if fucking the species IS explicitly legal.
>Sexual maturityI agree with the other guys, this should be full sexual and emotional maturity. When applied to humans, this actually takes 18-30 (maybe 25?) year olds out of passing, which means it's working: the less ambiguous your claim of consent, the better.
So yeah, an Alakazam using this test would conclude that a human fails. However, it's also impossible to know, from a human perspective, if a 5k IQ would have the same views on appropriate sexual partners; they might find the test unnecessarily restrictive, they might find it far too permissive, or a combination. The Harkness Test is for humans.
