Excuse the phoneposting, here’s my Sudowoodo pitch.
Let a Burmy evolve with a Sudowoodo in the party, and the Sudowoodo will take the discarded Burmy cloak and make a disguise so convincing that it fools itself into evolving. The type of Burmy cloak affects the new evolution.
Coniwoodo: Sudowoodo becomes the grass/rock type it always dreamed of being. Looks kinda like a skimpy Christmas tree, but at least he’s happy and learns some grass moves. Gained by evolving a Grass Cloak Burmy.
Sudopodo: Instead of gaining the ground typing, Sudopodo clings to the Bug aspect and makes itself up like a snail. It’s eyes go on stalks and it gains an empty rock shell, being deceptively faster than it was before evolution. Are often seen in Magcargo dens, blending in masterfully. Gained by evolving a Sand Cloak Burmy.
Lumiwoodo: Some things never change, Sudowoodo is still emulating still objects but now in an urban setting. It goes the Alolan Exeggutor route and goes super tall and thin. Their hands are brittle, but contain a personal light source that lets them act as street lamps. They can use these to learn a variety of new moves like Flash and other light-based abilities that make use of their bolstered Special Attack stat. City Planners sometimes train these in bulk and let them wander the streets to conserve on energy consumption. When walking the streets with their trainers, they sometimes like to hold still and play hide-and-seek. Trainers are advised to play dumb for a bit and let the Lumiwoodo think it’s great at blending in. It boosts their self esteem and makes them better battlers. Trash Cloak Burmy is the one to evolve for this fella.
