I like Umbreon. When I first played Silver, I wanted a dark-type pokemon, because I liked their cool designs. And I was, and still am, a bit of an edgelord. Sneasel was unobtainable for me, because I don’t think I could figure out how to get him as a kid. But Bill just hands you an Eevee, and I knew I could make it an Umbreon SOMEHOW. But again. I was a kid. So I didn’t know how. I just kept Eevee on me, and one night it evolved. And it blew my mind, because after playing through Blue, I thought I needed some sort of stone to evolve him. And then I had my dark pokemon, and Umbreon became a bro. Then I finally got a sneasel and evolved it into a Weavile in Gen IV, but by then Umbreon couldn’t be dethroned.
