Plus, Ash denseness toward romance is nothing special or wrong. Most protagonist of toy and battle related kids anime are often dense about love and more focus on battle such as Beyblade , Future card Buddyfight , B-Damen etc etc.
At this point, Ash's future wife depend on how the executive wants to end the anime. Possibly an open ending where Ash's doesn't end up with anybody since the series ends with him being still 10. However if executives wants to show future Ash with family than Misty, Serena and Iris would be a very bad choice.
