>>46856408>>46856408No it's not.
It's based on a goblin and imp, and the entire line is inspired on how fae-creatures were "demonized" as a whole. It's not a literal demon, it's a goblin creature that was demonized and viewed as such.
Impidimp = Goblin, Boggart, Imp
Morgrem = Gremlin, Redcap, Cluricaune
Grimmsnarl = Ogre, Troll, Giant, and Grendel (the monster that Beowulf killed)
They all have fairy-tale theming, and they all show a clear in-depth basis on the things they're inspired from (Morgrem's hair taking the form of a pike like what Redcaps used, and it's signature move being directly based on the behavior of the Cluricaune of Monaghan specifically). Before they were demonized, Imps weren't seen as demons either but just another type of fey creature who got their jollies by annoying the fuck out of other creatures.
Impidimp is the Pre-Christianity version of the fairy tale monsters that inhabited the land. The Imp, the Goblin, and even the Boggart.
Grimmsnarl didn't """"ruin""""" anything.
