We are supposed to believe that almost all the ice-types in Alabaster Icelands suddenly went extinct, since DP is the canon prequel to Legends, not Platinum (hence why they used the DP encounter slots in BDSP). In all this snow there are only two ice-type lines (not counting Pokeradar, which is postgame exclusive): Swinub and Sneasel.
