Was also a let-down considering how well designed Braixen was. The very few times you see her in the anime at least does her a little bit of justice compared to the games, but her design still feels lacking compared to the Braixen stage mostly due to the giant parachute pants-like huge tufts of red fur she has over her legs (Which manage to look even worse on the 3DS games since they just blend into one huge triangle-shaped blob). The comically excessive amount of red fur coming out of her ears also doesn't help.
Shame that thanks to dexit, we are likely to never see a playable Delphox in a game that's not limited to those shitty models and a tiny 3DS screen again. People who looked at her model data in a viewer saw that she does have legs similar to Briaxen's under all that red fur, although a little lankier, and they are even animated decently. You just can't see any of that due to the oversized red "skirt" over them that just makes her look like a waddling traffic cone. The design just simply did not work with how simplistic GameFreak prefers their models look, especially not when also constrained to a tiny low-res 3DS screen.
