The Mapinguari is a Brazilian legend about a giant monkey or slothlike creature that roams the Amazon rainforest and although it is very weak to water, bullets and other weapons can't pierce its skin. It is said to be very aggressive, and there's reports of one killing 100 cows and ripping off their tongues, but it doesn't eat humans. The design of the Pokemon itself would be a megatherium (these are often called "mapinguari" in Brazil) with a giant mouth on its stomach, and whenever it opens its stomach mouth, fire comes out from it.
