Candice is pretty much your everyday average pigtail braided anime girl for example. Nintendo's done a couple like her in the past. Chao from Yuyuki, the fairy queen from Kirby 64 and I think that one Earthbound NPC wearing a boater. Not just Nintendo mind you, but the point is her look isn't unique enough that only she can be defined by it.
Then you have characters Sugimori made with thick eyebrows like Diantha, Sheena from the Arceus movie or that donut girl in the Hoopa one. Those stand out because anime drawings would usually downplay eyebrows for simplicity or pronounce them for comic effect and non-Asian people (because despite some exceptions, a common trait of said people is that they're sparse) in real life trim theirs to ridiculous measure because they're presumed unattractive. The challenge taken with characters like this is to prove they don't have to be. Again, this isn't only a Sugimori or Pokegirl thing, so yes I'm aware of your Chaika posts.
