You'd have a hard time convincing me Gen 8 isn't the least popular, most reviled generation, the only standout Pokemon from the dex is Dragapult, the gameplay has been utterly invalidated by SV, not one person can defend the story, the only popular characters are fotm porn bait that have already been replaced (Marnie) and the characters only loved by fujos who have also been replaced, absolutely no one wants Dynamax back unlike Megas, SWSH is inherently controversial because it's the game that fractured the Pokemon fanbase in half permanently thanks to dexcut and forced Exp Share, stuff people still argue about to this day, and it's the same generation that dropped fucking BDSP.
There's really no defending SWSH or Gen 8 as a whole, I'm REALLY interested in how many Pokemon shills will bend over backwards and try to tell you SWSH is still good in 2024--shit, even in Joe's post in the OP in fucking 2021 even saying you liked SWSH was deserving of backlash. What went so FUCKING wrong in Gen 8?
