Honestly that Roy surpassing Friede thing is really interesting because you can feel elements that maybe set it up or parallel each other like Roys pokemon have the same types as Friede's or both being from Kanto, or their regular team ups like against Moltres and fug. I don't know if they'll keep that plot beat, but I feel like if they do, it won't have come out of nowhere.
