SM Ash is a great Ash. Literally showed more emotions in 40 or episodes than previous Ashs. Also pretty cute and great at battling. Also most of his pokemon seem to get fun personalities but so do most of the first forms of Ash's pokemon. We will see how that goes when litten or whoever evolved. But the fact that baracat and bird reference sheets exist that show plenty of personality gives me lots of hope.
