Y'know, though /vp/ loves to hate on Kanto and is paranoid about "genwunners" posting here even though they're usually just shitposters, Kanto reremakes wouldn't be too bad of an idea, as long as they do it correctly. There could be a lot of things added to the region, and the regional Dex could be expanded to include quite a bit of Johto and a few Hoenn Pokemon. The Sevii Islands could be expanded more, have a bigger role, and include some battle facilities. Some tie-ins to Johto would be cool too because of how GSC allowed Ethan (or Lyra) to travel around Kanto.
But knowing Game Freak, they'll probably be lazy and do nothing wih it.
Kanto remakes would also be nice because then there'd be even more Jigglypuff.
