If they wanted to show a new adventure with new character, make a new fucking adventure. There's no reason to do a movie about the beginning if you aren't going to show the characters that were there in the beginning.
That said, the Lucario kid is cute and I'm happy he exists. Still fuck whoever came up with the brilliant idea of doing a movie about the beginning, but making it not about the beginning.
