The only modern artworks of those that looks worse in terms of posing is Arcanine. Speaking of overdesigned, Arcanine
All of those modern sprites look more or less the same, barring Kingler. The new ones, however, are less gray, and more in line with the artistic vision because of this. Old Kingler sprite looks stupid as hell because you can't see the face, and the claws aren't supposed to be the same size.
