Personally I liked both of them well enough, even though they could've been better and ORAS definitely should've been better, but nothing in SM impresses me yet. I'll probably like it, but the people acting like it'll be some big return to form after Gen VI was terrible to them astound me.
That said, you're likely going to convince no one who's excited not to be excited, just like no one is likely going to convince those not excited to be excited. Especially not with the condescending tone you give and the dismissive tone others are giving back.
