I think I found an interesting glitch but I need some consolefags to confirm it.
Leave the battle tower.
You will be able to move while using the poketch.
Activate fly but don't choose where to go.
Enter the battle tower.
Go back outside.
The fly menu will stay up while you can move around.
Go straight down until you leave the area.
Try to get to the place where you can surf on the far right. It's 1 right, 6 down, right until you hear a bump sound, 1 up, 1 right.
Surf.
Now some interesting things happen. If you go back on land you can use your items again while the fly menu is still up.
If you get defeated in a battle on water but you chose where to fly, the surfing Bibarel will get "stored". Every time you use an attack outside of battle it will appear again. This can be stacked if you repeat the glitch.
The fishing rod can be used to exit the fly menu, if done correctly.
