Yokai Watch was completely carried by the crutch that was the use of Yokais in Japan, outside of it its popularity PALED in comparison to Japan. Blaming the audience for the failure of a franchise to capture their interest is about the most retarded thing I could possibly imagine, ADAPT OR DIE its as simple as that.

If that shit were true, Yokai watch would have never blown up the way it did in the first place, they just died because at the end of the day their designs had no substance and they FAILED to adapt. Pokemon had a significantly longer time to adapt than Yokai did and it made full of use of that where it ACTUALLY mattered the most, which is the monster designs. As soon as people got bored of Yokai's in Japan, they're crutch couldn't save them anymore and now they're slowly dying a miserable death.
