That would have worked better with retyping Gallade, TBH. Physical psychics generally are outclassed in everything they do and have little merit whatsoever to justify their existence.

Still better than his effective Psychic STAB which boils down to Psycho Cut.
Psychic type on Gallade is a deadweight without ridiculously overpowered abilities and his 'progress' on the gen-6 competitive field is a good testimony to it.

Not to mention that Psychic/Fighting just became the new Fire/Fighting in terms of redundant typings.

For the sake of feasibility, that would require:

a) - switching the typing of Ralts line around to have Fairy as the primary type;

b) - swapping Steadfast for Pixilate.

Sounds like something that would not only work, but would also be an elegant approach to the subject.

I see this suggestion pop up all over the bloody internet. If Galladefags could possibly be as numerous and loud as Charizardfags, GF would probably humour them and throw the 'lol primary typing cannot be changed' principle out of the window.

I think that Typhlosion is more the case of Gardevoir - with a monotype lingering as a placeholder for something better in the future.

Don't forget Mega-Medicham whose BST is now on par with Gallade's, yet it has been made into an absolute powerhouse in what it (and sadly, Gallade) is doing to compliment its typing.

I wish they could give him a Fairy/Fighting mega in the future, though.

Mega Gallade would be more likely if it wasn't for the fact that GF fucked over any possibility for an actual Medicham's cross-gen evo by giving it a Gallade-typed mega instead.
