It wouldn't be a total shitmon, doesn't really fit the bill for a normal evolution, isn't already in OU, and isn't a shillmon. There are plenty of Megas that did work out well. Beedrill, Pidgeot, Pinsir, Aggron, etc.. Eggy was built to have a Mega form.
It makes no sense that an Exeggutor that is over 5 times the size of its counterpart is not more powerful overall, and don't even get me started on losing Chlorophyll.
