In theory a whole bunch of other pokemon can have just as much depth, but only gardevoir is popular enough to have that depth explored, which in turn makes her more interesting, feeding back into making her more popular. I'd love to discuss diets, abilities, and care for many of my other favorite pokemon, but there just isn't enough groundwork and enough people there to listen.
