If they ever figure out how to run a real marketing operation and sell things like cosmetics for trainers and pokemon (which can then be shown off in gyms), they'll make even more.
While incoming $$ has likely declined sharply due to a poor business model, the money theyve already made, alongside the decent playerbase they are maintaining, will gaurentee this game goes all the way to gen V.
We just have to hope that along that way they make massive improvements to the gameplay experience.
