Drawthreads are the absolute worst place you can go to get criticism for your art. The why of it is simple.
Most of the people in these threads are not artists. They are here to get free shit. For the most part, if someone else actually looks at their post and actually decides to draw it, the original requester is going to be ecstatic (or feign happiness), because fuck, they just got something for free and they barely had to lift a finger save to type it out in the first place.
So while you certainly CAN ask for criticism in these threads, most people are going to be hesitant about actually giving any, even assuming they're knowledgeable enough to know what they're talking about to begin with, because they don't want to scare off the people giving them free shit.
It's like going to ask a bunch of Christians to help you criticize Christianity. You're not going to get anywhere fast. If you want the brutal, honest truth you're gonna have to look elsewhere on this site 9 times out of 10.
