>>32097993I think a big part of it is simply a backlash against how much attention and special treatment Lucario's been given thus far. It was added to Smash Bros, you're given one as a gift in XY (and you're forced to use it in a story battle), it's depicted in a giant statue in the Tower of Mastery, it was apparently the first Pokemon to ever Mega Evolve (excluding Mega Rayquaza, which was a special case), one of them was the best explorer in the world in PMD (and the highest rank in the game is called "Lucario Rank"), it got a leading role in that one movie... that sort of stuff.
