>>53741833I have a theory that those Masters designs are made with some generic girl model as a base and get assigned to a specific character pretty much at random, because I see no sign that they're trying to match the existing design, compliment the existing design, deliberately contract with the existing design, or really doing any specifically thought out with how the new design related to the old design. Except for the ones that are literal pallet swaps, which are usually pretty awful. For those who don't know, Jasmine's Japanese name references citrus fruit, hence the orange orbs in her pigtails. Making them blue is just weird.
That BDSP contest outfit to match Sinnoh's colder climate is pretty fucking nice though. Shame the head is too big and the face is so soulless, like most of the models in BDSP...
