Hey fuck you.
I love all aspects of Pokemon unlike a lot of people, I like collecting, catching, breeding, training, battling... not just battling, but all of it.
But there comes a point where you have to realize that your ability to try out strategies and build fun teams is being bottlenecked by the effort you need to put into getting Pokemon battle-ready, which then eats at your enjoyment and prevents you from trying out fun strategies and teams that you would be able to if there was a way to skip the effort.
Turns out there is a way and it's programmed out of the box to not allow you to do anything illegal. So I use it for the times I get a team or strategy idea, but I don't want to commit the days to make that team from scratch since they are something I just want to try out. Can you imagine spending an entire weak on making a team that you'll play for 2-3 days just to check out a new strategy? Picture that, if you can.
tl;dr: I like breeding, collecting and raising Pokemon, but I use hacking tools to enhance my battling experience with strategies I would never put time and effort into making from scratch.
About 70% of my Pokemon I use online are 100% legit and trained in-game, the other 30% are ones I genned to fill in spots or try one-off strategies. They even have a different OT and TID due to my own autism in setting my trained mon apart from my genned ones (their OT is "Rental", a reference to the days of Stadium 2 and me and my friends using rental Pokemon to fill out spots in our teams and try out new stuff).
So I support hacking, because it enhances the quality of competitive Pokemon and allows people to try out things they NEVER would if the barrier of entry was still there.
Hacking allows you to face more diverse teams and makes competitive more accessible, try to understand this.
