Like beating your best time on a long run or bike ride. When you're on that trail, it's not you against someone else or you against nature; it's you against yourself and your own limits. I don't care if someone else is faster than me, if I achieved a new personal best, then I've succeeded.
I'm not out there for money, I'm not trying to run a business. I'm putting my best foot forward to become the best version of myself. What more could I ask for?
