That's picture isn't terribly accurate, either. Sure, the Gen 1 and 2 starters didn't piss anyone off since it was still new. I don't really know if anyone was upset over Sceptile being monotype though.
Nobody was really happy with Gen V, though. Serperior was looking like a Grass/Dragon, people were crossing their fingers for Samurott to be a Water/Fighting, and Emboar was looking like Fire/Dark.
I'm tired of single type starters as well, though. I at least appreciate that Gen VI gave everyone dual typing, despite them being varying degrees of good.
