10 - Typhlosion
Cyndaquil is my favorite Fire starter (I know) and Typhlosion was one of the first Pokemon I leveled up to 100 by myself. Decent movepool, too.
9 - Drapion
Dark/Poison is pretty cool. Giant scorpion things are even cooler. Drapion is really cool. It's logic.
8 - Weezing
Ultimate Defensive Poison-type and possibly the only pure Poison-type with any competitive value. I like using tanks a lot, and Weezing is an awesome tank. I want it to get a new evolution so badly ;~;
7 - Gengar
Everyone loves Gengar. At least, there aren't many people who hate him. Ghost/Poison is a nice combo. Levitate makes it even better.
6 - Marowak
I like Ground-types a lot (and Poison, Dark and Ghost obviously). Marowak is in the top 3 [pure] Ground-types by far. Plus, it's design is really nice, although I kind of wish it's skull looked more skull-like - More towards Cubone.
5 - Quagsire
Bro of the year every year. Absolutely horrible weakness to Grass is made up for with a absurdly high HP stat.
4 - Spiritomb
Buddhism is pretty cool when you look into it (I had a hard-on for anything related to it in high-school), and 108 is my favorite number. A Pokemon that takes these two concepts, and has no weaknesses and a lot of cool resistances is definitely worthy of a spot on this list. Plus, I liked the gimmicky way you got it. It made it feel a lot more special.
3 - Bisharp
I like the idea of a pointy knight Pokemon. Dark/Steel is an awesome type combo, despite the crippling Ground & Fighting weaknesses.
2 - Muk
While Muk has no value competitively, I still like it's design and concept, and it was my Pokebro in the original Gen I.
1 - Mismagius
Ghostwitch waifu / Awesome Trick Room setter and decent move diversity for a Pokemon of it's caliber (Thunderbolt? Yes.) / Really cool design. Misdreavus is a close 2nd favorite of all time. Also, I beat the Champion in a Nuzlocke with only a slightly under-leveld Mismagius and a fuck-ton of full-restores. It was pretty amazing.
