wow this battle music sucks but overworld music is pretty good so far.
battles are pretty cool, nice animations, nice pokemon sounds, models look like X/Y models, super effective moves are labeled (nice QOL change), capturing still gives exp.
rival is baaaaad. god hes such a fag boi i just get mad when hes on the screen. nebby get in the fucking bag. i like the professor and brown old guy so far.
cutscenes EVERYWHERE. it makes me appreciate the freedom i do have whenever i can explore and look for stuff without reaching a literal flag on the map. i feel like im being railroaded playing this game, why arent they letting me just fuck around. maybe its just me, but i cant stand not having control of my game for so long and to just walk from checkpoint to check point till the npcs fuck off. legit they make you stop at every turn in the road for a dialogue and then move. hopefully this gets better. i like having dialogue options tho.
pokemon are cool so far and i really like the added grooming in pokemon amie. the PSS is nerfed i think cuz i cant search for a dratini on GTS yet. did a bit of wonder trading and got an alolan grimer.
overall its about 6/10 so far, i dont know why everyone on /vp/ says this gen ruined pokemon.
