>>38919213the more this slips from their grasp the more likely theyll feel pressured into doing something
they have choices, but not many good ones
>delay towns, sink all dev resources into saving this shitshow of a game that will undoubtedly turn out worse than sm either way, and try to save face by apologizing or something while grinding your workers to the bone to make up for your own fuck up>ignore it, push forward ignorantly and basically live and die on the "theyll buy it anyway" autist gambit, and likely severely piss off nintendo for daring to gamble like that with their most profitable brand regardless of how it turns out>accept that even if they re-appropriate resources theyre not gonna be able to address the negative press theyre getting from such a monumental fuck up and that the game likely wont turn out well either way, and ask daddy nintendo for helpand should they do the last nintendo is going to see that theyre in a fairly bad, desperate situation, and will take advantage of that
nintendo will shut them down if they try to angle for a delay, and will probably instead offer an alternative contract offloading development of specific parts of the game onto nintendos doorstep, which will be exactly what they want, since it grants them more control over the games development
so theres your silver lining i guess: theres a slim chance that some parts of the game might be taken out of their dangerously incompetent hands
not that nintendos are much better
