>>45156124>Vs Hapu>GolurkAkko takes out Golurk with a Night Slash Crit.
>GastrodonAkko scores another Night Slash Crit, but Muddy Water deals a very good chunk of damage, forcing me to switch her out.
Aranea comes in on a Muddy Water miss.
Gastrodon Recovers, and Aranea Giga Drains.
This repeats twice as I realize Giga Drain rolls either slightly more damage than Recover heals or slightly less thanks to high or low rolls.
After a fourth Recover, Aranea uses Scald.
Gastrodon fires off a Muddy Water, and Scald burns it.
This ends up better than I expected, as Hapu spends a Full Heal, allowing Giga Drain to get the KO.
>FlygonIt hits Aranea with Dragonbreath, and she hits back hard with Frost Breath.
The second Dragonbreath inflicts Paralysis... and it immediately causes Aranea to lose a turn.
Another Dragonbreath is followed by a Frost Breath Miss(come on!).
A fourth Dragonbreath, and Frost Breath finally strikes Flygon down. Sadly, one of my main anti-Mudsdale is now not functional anymore.
>MudsdaleI send Yaya in on Earthquake.
She deals out a Parting Shot, letting Marie in... on a Tectonic Rage. Marie survives, but can't continue fighting.
Yaya comes back in on another Earthquake.
Another Parting Shot lets Don Andres in- I'm aware this is not ideal, but he's my only mon with enough health that isn't 4x weak to Earthquake.
I'm just hoping -2 Atk might let him in safely even on Earthquake. It really wouldn't have, but I luck out and it uses Heavy Slam instead.
Giga Drain sadly fails to KO(leaving Mudsdale deep into the yellow) and Earthquake takes out Don Andres, even at full health.
Yaya comes back in and finishes off the battle with Ice Punch.
A bit of bad luck(the Flygon situation) and at least two bad decisions(leaving Akko in on Gastrodon rather than keeping her for Mudsdale and not having the Grassium on Don Andres) led into a situation where I was gonna lose a mon no matter what.
