Here the artist is showing a hi-res version of the astrobunny art on his instagram. He also has stated many times that he has infact drawn it. There also exists a watermark to his instagram on the original astrobunny art. It also has the trainer from sun & moon on it. I think that is plenty of evidence on top of OPs post about similaritys in artstyle to conclude that its his art.
