This started as a statblock, where I purposely wanted to create a pseudo legendary that was just unapologetically broken and overpowered, but still somewhat plausible to exist.
The concept is that this is some Pokémon protecting nature and harnessing the powers of the earth, which is why it learns fire and grass moves as well.
The inspirations are Octopuses (Although it ended up looking more like a vampire squid), Garden gnomes and various nature deities who are often depicted with long robes and crowns made of twigs and other foresty things. This is like a quick brainstorm design, I intend to go back to this eventually and make it less weird
Also I am fully aware that the art quality isn't that great, but I wanted to quickly visualize some ideas.
