In Red/Blue I would encounter this annoying little shit cunt in almost every cave. I hated him even more for the fact that his beginning move was "leech life".
I remember as a challenge catching and training one in Gold and holy shit was I amazed. Dude outsped almost everything (this was pre ninjask days, of course) and hit pretty hard. And back then I wasn't aware to obvious perks such as not able to be poisoned and super resistence to fighting.
He became and still is one of my favorite pokemon. tha End.
