The Pokedex was stupid and was made with no foresight. Only 2 Fire types yet the somehow had the balls to make a Fire Elite Four member anyways

Last but certainly not least the battle sequences took FOREVER with overlong animations, text that is agonizingly slow even on the fast setting and HP dropped at a crawl.
