After playing leaf green easily 50-100 times and never seeing a shiny I found a shiny pidgey. It had a shit nature (calm) and bad ivs to boot, and I had already caught a full team so I just boxed it. About a month later I started a new file and in the same grass below cerulean I found another shiny pidgey. This time with a neutral nature and a perfect or nearly perfect attack ivs. Its like the same pidgey somehow transcended time and space and against all odds fought to improve itself in desperate hope to be accepted and to finally leave perpetual grass existence. I named her goldeneye and took her to the league and beyond.
