Once resistant to the Dark-type retaliation attack, Chesnaught's Payback is just one of many moves that Macbeth no longer has protection against thanks to the bullshit powers that be. Because of that, Macbeth is thrown back and dazed by it.
His mini-noses however, remain unfazed and mobile. You really wish you could tell Chesnaught to focus his efforts on eliminating them first before tackling Macbeth, because they'll always be certain to strike him if he manages to land a hit on the idol. They're like mini-bodyguards, but their attacks are just as powerful.
Alas, Chesnaught would never listen to a command that coming from your lips, not in a million years. You can only hope that Chesnaught catches onto the fact that he's subtly outnumbered.
"Che..CHESSSSS!"
Chesnaught growls dominantly, feeling pretty damn good after landing Payback. He immediately decides to follow it up with a Power-Up Punch to land an additional strike on Macbeth, but what he again doesn't notice are the mini-noses flying over to him. Ever so sneakily, the mini-noses circle the hedgehog and begin to charge Flash Cannon, just as Wikstrom ordered the turn before.
"NAAAAUUUUUU-....ght!"
"P-Probooooo!"
>Chesnaught used Power-Up Punch!>Chesnaught's Attack rose! The resulting collision is quite a sight to see. Chesnaught successfully throws a Power-Up Punch in Macbeth's nose, which is instantly usurped by a magnificent blinding Flash Cannon. An explosion erupts, and when it subsides, Chesnaught is down.
>Aim for the mini-nose defense force!>Chesnaught uses...A) Seed Bomb!
B) Brick Break!
C) Pin Missile!
D) Rock Slide!
