Orebuck is a much needed Mono-Rock, that focuses on being speedier than most other rock types! I like to imagine these strange deer where ridden in ancient times, treated as protecting spirits of the mountain by ancient Johto.
Poppycroc is an early game Dragon type. Don't be fooled by it's goofy appearance and diminutive stature, it's eyes can paralyze anyone who looks at them. Children are always warned never to enter caves, since a Poppycroc nest might stumble upon them, and they'll serve as the nest's next meal.
Sphyrate's nose is multipurpose, taking in electricity, and a weapon to pierce. However, Pokemon professor's have noted it mostly seems to use its nose to shift sand on the sea floor, and eat up small invertebrates. Still, every fisherman enjoys a vacation where they fish one of these up!
Jingring and Lunoir are semi-early game dark types. They may be weak, but they have a great ability. A strong trainer wins with mons they like, right?
Not much to say gameplay wise or design wise, I think these guys are pretty self-explanatory.
