One underrated "goodmon" in SM is Oricorio.
Gets Air Cutter(coming of 98 SpA) really early and does super well against Totems, can run Work up and Roost before even leaving the first Island. Electric/Flying Defensive typing is fantastic. On anything it can't deal with, it can just Baton Pass some buffs instead.
Does lose some steam in the midgame, but once it gets Revelation Dance, you can abuse your type changes very effectively, and once you get Machamp Shove, it can break stuff with the Z-Move.
It is even better in USUM, where it has no weak period because the Flyinium Z is available before you leave the first leave the island. If Hawlucha hadn't been in USUM, Oricorio might have been the best in-game mon.
