Ladies(?) and gentlemen of /vp/ixelmon! I am back (for now) to host the annual showdown between fishermen! Partake in this smaller-scale tournament, fight your way to the top and claim the one-and-only position of Master Baiter of this gen, a title nobody will be able to take away from you, ever!
How will it work?
>The tournament will start on the 22nd of August at 6PM UTC sharp!
>The tournament consists of 3 parts..
>Part 1 is a 30 minute catching part; venture the world and fish up any Pokemon you so desire to use! Anything you can fish up, goes!
>Part 2 is a 30 minute training part; you will have access to a special, temporary training location to quickly train up members on your team!
>Part 3 is the battle part; you'll face off against your opponents in a Single/Double (depending on the amount of participants) Elimination battle! The champion of this tournament will be crowned Master Baiter!
The fishing rules:
>Your catch must be fished up from any body of liquid one can fish from.
>Your catch must be caught in the Lure Balls provided to you at registrations.
The tournament rules:
>Depending on traffic, teams must be manually registered to ensure they are the ones you caught during the contest!
>Lvl 50
>3v3
>Singles
>Item Clause
>No species clause
>Z-Moves are allowed
>Dynamax is banned
>Mega Evolution is banned
There are three special categories, each with their own rewards:
>Best catch; this is the basically fishing up the highest scoring Pokemon, being judged on IV and the bigger size of the Pokemon in question.
>Creativity; usage of least commonly found Pokemon in this tournament.
>Crowd Favorite; you get to vote whose team you liked the most!
Rewards:
>1st - Master Baiter Ribbon, 1 Gold Bottle Cap, Ball Swap
>2nd - 2 Silver Bottle Caps, Ball Swap
>3rd - 1 Silver Bottle Cap, Ball Swap
