Talking about Gen1, I remember wondering about its white belly in the first games a lot but I always thought - and still think - it looks cute that way, too. Actually, looking at it now, white belly Pikachu looks even cuddlier to me than final Pikachu, somehow. I'd buy a big, fat, cuddly pre-yellow Pikachu plushie if they'd ever make one.
Not my favorite Pokemon, but I still like it a lot even to this day.
