>>42468450While I do love SMT IV for those same reasons, Walter, Jonathan, and Isabeau kinda fall flat at times and just feel less like characters and more like vessels for the alignments. Obviously that is the point of them, but they could have done a better job incorporating it into their characters more subtly and giving them more depth. As for the setting, thats pretty solid too. Nocturne’s characters aren’t as prevalent but they feel more like realistic individuals due to the Reason system. Its much less black and white than the alignments and it does a very good job contributing to the atmosphere and setting of the game, which is fucking incredible. I really like SMT IV a lot and its got a bunch of great things going for it but I prefer Nocturne.
